QNAP TS-873A-8G 8 Bay Tower Desktop NAS Storage is a high-performance network storage system built for business use, creative work, and large data workloads. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B 4-core, 8-thread processor running at 2.2GHz with a 64-bit x86 architecture. The system supports floating point operations and AES-NI encryption for secure file handling. Graphics output and hardware video transcoding are available through optional PCIe expansion cards.

The NAS comes with 8GB DDR4 SODIMM memory installed and supports up to 64GB using two memory slots, including ECC memory for better data protection. It features 5GB flash memory with dual boot OS protection for added system safety. Storage support includes eight 3.5-inch SATA drive bays that also accept 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, with full hot-swap support. Two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 slots allow SSD cache acceleration, though M.2 SSDs are not included and using heatsinks is recommended due to heat during operation.
