QNAP TS-432PXU-RP-2G Quad-core 1.7GHz Rackmount NAS Storage is a 1U rackmount system built for stable data storage, backup, and file sharing in office and server room setups. It runs on an AnnapurnaLabs Alpine AL324 64-bit ARM Cortex-A57 quad-core processor with a 1.7GHz clock speed. The system supports floating point operations and includes a hardware encryption engine to help keep stored data secure.
This NAS comes with 2GB DDR4 UDIMM memory installed and supports memory upgrade up to 16GB using its single UDIMM slot. It also includes 512MB flash memory with dual boot OS protection to reduce system risk. Storage support includes four 3.5-inch SATA drive bays that work with 3.5-inch HDDs, 2.5-inch HDDs, and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. All supported drives are hot-swappable. SSD cache acceleration is supported, and M.2 SSD support is available through an optional PCIe adapter. For network connectivity, the system provides two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10GbE SFP+ ports. Wake on LAN works through the 2.5GbE ports, and Jumbo Frame support helps with large data transfers. A single PCIe Gen 2 x2 slot allows expansion, though PCIe bandwidth limits can affect 10GbE performance. Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available for external devices and backups.
The NAS uses a 1U rackmount form factor and includes LED indicators for system status, LAN, drive activity, and storage expansion. It has power and reset buttons, dual 250W redundant power supply units for better uptime, and two 40mm cooling fans. The system supports up to 700 concurrent CIFS connections with maximum memory, operates within standard temperature and humidity ranges, and comes with a 3-year brand warranty.
